When I finally put my mind to the app, the whole experience became streamlined and easy. I admit I am reluctant to have new apps & worry over using them. I'm over 65+. I had a scary moment when I sent a cheque in which didn't arrive, I ended up asking the bank to cancel the cheque. It was another worry and previously I found the cheque system easiest to use. It's not worth all the worry - it's much easier to put it through the app straight into Mark Bates hands. I did it with a day to spare. I now have insurance again for my getting older power chair, plus my pro-lite manual, and I'm in line for a wonderful year.... & A new power chair next time round.... Thanks Mark Bates and all! .

I have been a customer of Mark Bates now for several years, a friend told me how good they are, I actually had to get some sort of cover because I live in a complex with many people 55 and over. So many of us are in some sort of wheelchair or scooter. So it's this complex's Instructions, we all have to have Insurance to cover any damages to the lifts, glass doors etc... I am confined to a power wheelchair, so I not only started with the standard cover! But I then purchased a nearly new powerchair and I needed a better protection for my new chair! So I rang the Mark Bates team and told them about my new chair, they took down all my deatails and sold me the cover I needed for my chair and general cover I already had. Then 18 months later I went up a small drop-down curb and I heard a thud! and the stabilizer on the back of my chair! I limped back home just about, and rang Mark Bates, they asked me to take pictures and video of the damage, I did and I emailed it to them, and they instantly told me to ring the people I bought the chair from to let then know about what happened. Within 2 days they had picked my chair up repaired it and got it back to me all like new again. Mark Bates paid Platinum Mobility once they had the Invoice from them... I am so pleased I took out the policy, heaven know how much it would have cost for me to have done it all by myself??? So it was the best decision I made since I have been in a wheelchair...

Great value insurance and friendly staff
Took insurance with them about two years ago. Customer service when arranging it was excellent and their price was very good for the level of cover - far better than our previous insurer and many others we looked at. The renewal price this year was the same as last year which impressed us - given the state of the world in general! And you can pay monthly with no extra charges which is a big bonus. We haven’t as yet made a claim so don’t know how one would be handled and I’m hoping we don’t have to!
